Laugarfell Hot Springs

Laugarfell se encuentra en las tierras altas al este del Parque Nacional Vatnajökull, a una hora de la Ring Road cerca de Egilsstaðir. Laugarfell sits in the highlands east of Vatnajökull National Park, about an hour from the Ring Road near Egilsstaðir. Two traditional stone-built pools are fed by a natural hot spring — a larger pool around 37-39°C and a smaller, hotter pool around 42-44°C — with views toward Mount Snæfell. The site includes a highland hostel and is open to visitors from June to September; local tradition credits the water with healing properties.
