Therme Erding

Therme Erding abrió el 3 de octubre de 1999 tras el inicio de las obras en noviembre de 1998, y extrae agua naturalmente caliente a unos 65°C de un pozo de 2.350 metros de profundidad, que contiene flúor y azufre. Se ha convertido en lo que se promociona como el complejo termal más grande del mundo, con unos 430.000 m² de superficie y alrededor de 185.000 m² de área para visitantes, que recibió cerca de 1,9 millones de visitantes en 2024. Fue adquirido por Therme Group en 2024 por más de 320 millones de euros. Además del agua termal natural, el complejo también ofrece piscinas especiales enriquecidas con minerales del Mar Muerto, selenio-yodo y calcio.

Therme Erding opened on October 3, 1999 after groundbreaking in November 1998, and draws naturally hot water at about 65°C from a well 2,350 meters deep, containing fluoride and sulfur. It has grown into what is marketed as the world's largest thermal spa complex, covering roughly 430,000 m² with about 185,000 m² of guest area, drawing around 1.9 million visitors in 2024. It was acquired by Therme Group in 2024 for over €320 million. Beyond the natural thermal water, the complex also offers specialty pools enriched with Dead Sea minerals, selenium-iodine, and calcium.
