Zion Canyon Hot Springs opened in 2025 in La Verkin, Utah, along the Hurricane Fault that separates the Great Basin from the Colorado Plateau, about a 30-minute drive from Zion National Park. It draws on the same natural hot springs historically known as Pah Tempe or Dixie Hot Springs (also called La Verkin Hot Springs), used for centuries by the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah to aid recovery from pain, wounds, fatigue and illness. According to the resort, the source water reaches up to 107°F (about 42°C) and flows at roughly 1,000 gallons per minute, carrying more than 14 minerals including iron, sulfate, chloride, sodium and calcium; pools across the property range from about 88°F to 104°F (31-40°C). The underground heat comes from geothermal warming near basalt flows roughly 200,000-300,000 years old. The property is operated by the same group behind Iron Mountain Hot Springs in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
