Balçova Agamemnon Thermal Baths

Los Baños Termales de Balçova Agamenón se encuentran justo al suroeste de İzmir, en la carretera hacia Çeşme, y toman su nombre de Agamenón, el legendario rey de Micenas, cuyos soldados se habrían bañado allí por consejo de un oráculo tras una batalla; la tradición también sostiene que el ejército de Alejandro Magno recibió tratamiento en estas aguas. El agua alcanza unos 62°C y presenta un alto contenido mineral. Tras la conquista otomana de İzmir en 1415, los baños fueron reparados y recuperaron su importancia como centro curativo. Hoy el complejo cuenta con nueve piscinas, dos hammams turcos y un centro de fisioterapia, junto al Hotel Termal de Balçova, que ofrece 37 baños termales y servicios de rehabilitación para afecciones musculoesqueléticas y recuperación postoperatoria.

Balçova Agamemnon Thermal Baths lie just southwest of İzmir on the road toward Çeşme, and take their name from Agamemnon, the legendary King of Mycenae, whose soldiers were said to have bathed there on an oracle's advice after battle; tradition also holds that Alexander the Great's army was treated at the springs. The water reaches around 62°C and carries a high mineral content. After the Ottoman conquest of İzmir in 1415, the baths were repaired and regained their importance as a healing site. Today the complex includes nine pools, two Turkish hammams and a physiotherapy center, alongside the Balçova Thermal Hotel, which offers 37 thermal baths and rehabilitation services for musculoskeletal conditions and post-operative recovery.

バルチョヴァ・アガメムノン温泉は、イズミルからチェシメへ向かう道沿い、市の南西に位置し、ミケーネの伝説の王アガメムノンにちなんで名付けられたとされています。神託の助言により戦後に兵士たちがここで入浴したと伝えられ、アレクサンドロス大王の軍もこの温泉で治療を受けたという伝承もあります。湯温は約62°Cに達し、高いミネラル含有量を誇ります。1415年のオスマン帝国によるイズミル征服後、浴場は修復され、再び療養地としての重要性を取り戻しました。現在は9つのプール、2つのトルコ式ハマム、理学療法センターを備え、隣接するバルチョヴァ・テルマル・ホテルでは37の温浴施設と、筋骨格系疾患や術後回復のためのリハビリサービスを提供しています。
