Haven Hot Springs is a naturally occurring geothermal site accessible from BLM land near Challis, Idaho, in the upper Salmon River basin. The springs emerge at around 44°C and form soaking pools in a desert-rimmed river valley. The Lemhi Range and Lost River Range frame the distant horizon, and the high desert character of central Idaho — with big sage, open sky, and little development — gives the springs a wild, unhurried quality.
