Hidden Valley Springs

Hidden Valley Springs es un resort natural privado que abarca unas 45 hectáreas de selva protegida en Calauan, Laguna, a menos de dos horas de Metro Manila. Sus piscinas naturales de agua caliente y fría, incluida una distintiva "Soda Pool" naturalmente carbonatada por el CO2 disuelto proveniente de la geología volcánica de la zona, se alimentan de aguas subterráneas vinculadas al monte Makiling y al monte Banahaw. El resort funciona desde 1918, cuando el terreno fue adquirido por Eufrocino Roxas, y es quizás más conocido por haber alojado al director Francis Ford Coppola durante el rodaje de Apocalypse Now a finales de los años setenta. Hidden Valley Springs is a private nature resort spanning about 110 acres of protected rainforest in Calauan, Laguna, less than two hours from Metro Manila. Its natural hot and cold spring pools, including a distinctive naturally carbonated "Soda Pool" fed by CO2 dissolved from the area's volcanic geology, draw on groundwater linked to Mount Makiling and Mount Banahaw. The resort has operated since 1918, when the land was acquired by Eufrocino Roxas, and is perhaps best known for hosting director Francis Ford Coppola during the filming of Apocalypse Now in the late 1970s. Today it offers cash-only day tours with lunch, six main spring pools, a natural waterfall, and rustic overnight bungalows.
