Jemez Springs Bath House occupies a historic adobe building in the Jemez Mountains village of Jemez Springs, where natural geothermal springs have supplied the community with warm water for well over a century. The springs discharge at around 40°C and fill private soaking tubs in a traditional bathhouse setting. The surrounding Jemez Mountains — sacred to the local Pueblo peoples and home to the Valles Caldera National Preserve — give this modest bath house an extraordinary natural and cultural context.
