Les Bains de Llo

El pueblo de Llo se asienta por encima de los 1.600 metros en la región de la Cerdaña, en los Pirineos Orientales franceses, cerca de la frontera con España, y sus baños termales se nutren de agua naturalmente sulfurosa que brota a unos 36°C. Las piscinas se sitúan junto al espectacular desfiladero excavado por el arroyo Angoustrine en su descenso hacia Saillagouse, un entorno que comparte con otros manantiales termales cerdanos de pueblos cercanos como Angoustrine-Villeneuve-des-Escaldes. Populares entre visitantes de ambos lados de la frontera, los baños han atravesado una historia reciente accidentada, incluido un incendio que obligó a un largo cierre y renovación antes de reabrir al público en 2026.

The village of Llo perches above 1,600 metres in the Cerdagne region of the Pyrénées-Orientales, near the Spanish border, and its thermal baths draw on naturally sulphurous water emerging at around 36°C. The pools sit beside the dramatic gorge carved by the Angoustrine stream as it descends toward Saillagouse, a setting shared with other Cerdagne hot springs in villages such as Angoustrine-Villeneuve-des-Escaldes nearby. Popular with visitors from both sides of the border, the baths have weathered a difficult recent history, including a fire that forced a lengthy closure and renovation before reopening to the public in 2026.
