Stedsans in the Woods (Swedish for 'sense of place') is a seasonal farm, restaurant, and accommodation concept in a beech forest in western Sweden, founded by chefs Mette Helbæk and Flemming Hansen. The site combines natural building, organic farming, foraging, wood-fired cooking, and forest sauna into a comprehensive slow-living experience. Guests sleep in simple canvas cabins, eat farm-grown tasting menus cooked over open fire, and use the wood-fired sauna followed by cold lake plunges. Stedsans has been profiled internationally as one of the most influential expressions of the Scandinavian nature-connection philosophy applied to hospitality.

Sostenibilidad
Stedsans cultiva una parte significativa de los alimentos que sirve en su restaurante y se abastece del resto dentro de un radio local. La sauna y las estructuras de alojamiento están construidas con madera obtenida en la propia finca o procedente de explotaciones forestales suecas certificadas. Todos los residuos se compostan y se devuelven al suelo de la granja.
Sustainability
Stedsans grows a significant proportion of the food served in its restaurant and sources the rest within a local radius. The sauna and accommodation structures are built from timber harvested on the property or from certified Swedish forestry. All waste is composted and returned to the farm soil.
