Therme Zurzach

Therme Zurzach se encuentra en la pequeña localidad argoviana de Bad Zurzach, a orillas del Rin, donde una operación de perforación salina golpeó accidentalmente un manantial termal natural en 1914. Tras sellarse el pozo original, se perforó uno nuevo con éxito, reabierto el 5 de septiembre de 1955, que capta agua termal salina de unos 1.000 metros de profundidad a aproximadamente 40°C. El hallazgo convirtió a Bad Zurzach en una de las localidades termales más importantes de Suiza casi de la noche a la mañana, y desde 1957 el agua, rica en minerales, incluso se embotelló y vendió como bebida en todo el país. Hoy el manantial alimenta un complejo de baños interiores y exteriores, hoteles y una clínica de rehabilitación, con el hotel-torre diseñado por el arquitecto Fedor Altherr en 1964 aún marcando el perfil del pueblo.

Therme Zurzach sits in the small Aargau town of Bad Zurzach on the Rhine, where a salt-drilling operation accidentally struck a natural thermal spring in 1914. After the original well was capped, a new one was successfully drilled and reopened on September 5, 1955, tapping salt-bearing thermal water from roughly 1,000 meters below ground at around 40°C. The discovery turned Bad Zurzach into one of Switzerland's significant thermal spa towns almost overnight, and from 1957 the mineral-rich water was even bottled and sold as a beverage across the country. Today the spring feeds an indoor and outdoor bathing complex, hotels, and a rehabilitation clinic, with the tower hotel designed by architect Fedor Altherr in 1964 still marking the skyline.

テルメ・ツルツァッハは、ライン川沿いのアールガウ州の小さな町バート・ツルツァッハにあり、1914年の岩塩採掘作業中に偶然天然の温泉が湧き出したことに始まる。最初の井戸は閉鎖された後、新たな井戸の掘削に成功し、1955年9月5日に再開業。地下約1,000メートルから約40℃の塩分を含む温泉水を汲み上げている。この発見によりバート・ツルツァッハはほぼ一夜にしてスイス有数の温泉保養地となり、1957年からはミネラル豊富なこの水が飲料水として国内で瓶詰め販売されるようにもなった。現在では屋内外の浴場施設、複数のホテル、リハビリクリニックに水を供給しており、1964年に建築家フェドール・アルテールが設計したタワーホテルが今も町のランドマークとなっている。
