Gazlıgöl Thermal Springs

Gazlıgöl es una zona de manantiales termales en el distrito de İhsaniye, provincia de Afyonkarahisar, una región considerada durante mucho tiempo uno de los principales destinos termales de Turquía. Estas aguas se han utilizado con fines curativos desde la época frigia y se extraen desde una profundidad de unos 525 metros a aproximadamente 62°C, aunque algunas fuentes citan temperaturas de hasta 68°C. El agua es notablemente rica en minerales, con sodio, magnesio, sulfato, calcio, fluoruro y bicarbonato entre unos 32 minerales distintos, además de dióxido de carbono natural que le añade propiedades terapéuticas. Varios hoteles termales, entre ellos Başaranlar Thermal Hotel y Afyon Thermal Hotel, se han desarrollado en torno a los manantiales, ofreciendo curas de baño y bebida bajo supervisión médica para diversas afecciones.

Gazlıgöl is a thermal springs area in the İhsaniye district of Afyonkarahisar Province, a region long regarded as one of Turkey's premier thermal destinations. The waters here have been used for healing since the Phrygian era and are drawn from a depth of around 525 meters at approximately 62°C, with some sources citing temperatures up to 68°C. The water is notably mineral-rich, containing sodium, magnesium, sulfate, calcium, fluoride and bicarbonate among roughly 32 different minerals, along with naturally occurring carbon dioxide gas that gives the springs added therapeutic character. Several thermal hotels, including Başaranlar Thermal Hotel and Afyon Thermal Hotel, have developed around the springs, offering bathing and drinking cures under medical guidance for various health conditions.
