Hürlimannbad & Spa ocupa la antigua cervecería Hürlimann en el barrio zuriqués de Enge, donde una perforación profunda realizada en 1976 halló agua naturalmente rica en minerales, conocida localmente como fuente 'Aqui', que emerge a unos 24°C desde aproximadamente 270 metros de profundidad. La cervecería utilizó el agua en la producción de cerveza y la embotelló como agua mineral hasta que la cervecería fue vendida en 1999. La misma fuente abastece hoy las piscinas del balneario, calentadas hasta entre unos 35 y 41°C, y el operador distingue explícitamente esta agua de la de una piscina tratada convencional. Los bañistas nadan bajo las históricas bóvedas de ladrillo de la antigua cervecería o en una piscina infinita en la azotea con vistas a la ciudad, en un ritual de baño romano-irlandés.

Hürlimannbad & Spa occupies the former Hürlimann brewery in Zurich's Enge district, where a deep drilling operation in 1976 struck naturally mineral-rich water known locally as the 'Aqui' source, emerging at around 24°C from roughly 270 meters below ground. The brewery used the water in beer production and bottled it as mineral water until the brewery was sold in 1999. The same source now supplies the bath's pools, warmed to between roughly 35 and 41°C, with the operator explicitly distinguishing the water from ordinary treated pool water. Bathers swim beneath the brewery's historic vaulted brick cellars or in a rooftop infinity pool overlooking the city, in a Roman-Irish bathing ritual.
