Puning Hot Spring

Puning Hot Spring se encuentra al pie del monte Pinatubo, en Sitio Puning, Barangay Inararo, Porac, Pampanga, y se llega a través de un recorrido en jeep 4x4 por los espectaculares cañones de lahar tallados por la erupción del volcán en 1991. A lo largo de una docena de piscinas naturales, el agua calentada geotérmicamente varía desde unos 40°C hasta 70°C en la piscina y cascada más caliente, y el lugar también ofrece un spa de arena volcánica. La zona se desarrolló en los años posteriores a la erupción de 1991, que desplazó a las comunidades aeta locales; el nombre "Puning" proviene de una palabra que significa "Madre Naturaleza" en la lengua aeta mag-antsi, y algunos miembros de la comunidad aeta participaron en el desarrollo del lugar.

Puning Hot Spring lies at the foot of Mount Pinatubo in Sitio Puning, Barangay Inararo, Porac, Pampanga, reached via a 4x4 jeep ride through dramatic lahar canyons carved by the volcano's 1991 eruption. Across roughly a dozen natural pools, geothermally heated water ranges from around 40°C to as hot as 70°C in the hottest pool and waterfall area, and the site also offers a volcanic sand spa. The area was developed in the years following the 1991 eruption, which displaced local Aeta communities; the name "Puning" derives from a word meaning "Mother Nature" in the Mag-antsi Aeta language, and some Aeta community members were involved in developing the site.

プニン温泉はピナツボ山の麓、パンパンガ州ポラック、イナララロ・バランガイのプニン集落にあり、1991年の火山噴火が刻んだ壮大なラハール渓谷を4WDジープで抜けてアクセスする。約十数か所の天然プールにわたり、地熱で温められた湯は約40℃から、最も熱い浴槽と滝のエリアでは70℃にまで達し、火山灰を使った砂スパも用意されている。この地域は1991年の噴火後の数年間に開発され、この噴火では地元のアエタ族コミュニティが避難を余儀なくされた。「プニン」という名前はマグ・アンツィ・アエタ語で「母なる自然」を意味する言葉に由来し、アエタ族のコミュニティメンバーの一部がこの場所の開発に関わった。
