Las Termas de Rosario de la Frontera son uno de los balnearios termales más antiguos de Argentina, ubicado en la provincia de Salta. Los manantiales emergen a unos 48–60 °C, ricos en bicarbonato sódico. El Hotel Termas Belle Époque, inaugurado en 1882, ha atraído a visitantes durante más de un siglo. Termas de Rosario de la Frontera is one of Argentina's oldest continuously operating thermal resorts, in Salta Province at the transition between the Andean foothills and the Gran Chaco lowlands. The springs emerge at approximately 48–60°C — cooled for bathing to around 38–42°C — rich in sodium bicarbonate. The Belle Époque Hotel Termas, originally opened in 1882 during Argentina's railway expansion, anchored a resort that served Argentine society and international visitors for over a century. The subtropical setting — warm, green, between the arid Chaco and the cool Andean valleys — creates a microclimate of its own. The thermal waters have historically attracted visitors who combine the waters with visits to the colonial city of Salta and the Quebrada de Humahuaca canyon to the north. The resort continues to attract visitors who value historical atmosphere alongside the thermal springs.

La localidad de Rosario de la Frontera debe su nombre a su posición histórica como frontera entre el interior poblado y el Gran Chaco, dominado por los pueblos toba (qom) y wichí. El hotel termal de 1882 se construyó durante el período de consolidación del Estado argentino y la inmigración europea, en parte como una demostración de comodidad civilizada en la frontera. Es uno de los edificios de resort termal más antiguos que aún se conservan en Argentina y representa una visión particular del siglo XIX sobre el bienestar termal como práctica socialmente organizada.
Heritage
The town of Rosario de la Frontera takes its name from its historical position as the frontier between the settled interior and the Gran Chaco, dominated by the Toba (Qom) and Wichí peoples. The 1882 thermal hotel was built during Argentine state consolidation and European immigration — partly as a demonstration of civilised amenity at the frontier. It is one of Argentina's oldest surviving thermal resort buildings and represents a specific 19th-century vision of thermal wellness as a socially organised practice.
