Termy Poddębice

Poddębice, una pequeña localidad a orillas del río Ner en el voivodato de Łódź, se asienta sobre un profundo acuífero mesozoico que el municipio explotó a caballo entre 2009 y 2010 mediante un pozo de 2.039 metros de profundidad. The geothermal water is used to heat public buildings across the town and supplies both the Pijalnia Wód Termalnych — a thermal water drinking hall housed in a converted 1871 evangelical church in the town park — and the municipal Poddębickie Baseny Termalne thermal pools. Poddębice markets itself as the 'City of the Sun' and has positioned its geothermal resource as the centerpiece of a broader wellness and tourism strategy for the Sieradz Land region.
