Thermana Laško

Las aguas curativas de Laško eran conocidas desde la Antigüedad, y un informe periodístico de 1818 registró la temperatura de los manantiales en 35°C, anuncio que impulsó su desarrollo sistemático a cargo del ingeniero Rödel entre 1852 y 1854, con una inauguración ceremonial en mayo de 1854. Tres manantiales identificados —el del Emperador, el de Franz y el de Joseph— alimentaban la instalación original, llamada Kaiser Franz Josef Bad en honor al emperador austríaco. El agua acratotermal, de baja mineralización, fluye hoy entre 32 y 35°C. Un profesor vienés llamado Stein amplió el complejo con instalaciones sociales desde 1857, y en 1953 el lugar fue registrado formalmente como centro de rehabilitación médica; hoy opera como Thermana Laško.

Laško's healing waters were known in antiquity, and an 1818 newspaper report recorded the springs' temperature at 35°C, an announcement that triggered systematic development by the engineer Rödel between 1852 and 1854, with a ceremonial opening in May 1854. Three named springs — the Emperor's, Franz's, and Joseph's — fed the original facility, called Kaiser Franz Josef Bad after the Austrian emperor. The low-mineralized, akratothermal water today runs 32–35°C. A Viennese professor named Stein expanded the resort with social facilities from 1857, and in 1953 the site was formally registered as a medical rehabilitation center; it now operates as Thermana Laško.
