Lamp no Yado Aoni Onsen

Lamp no Yado Aoni Onsen se encuentra en lo profundo del desfiladero de Aoni, rodeado de barrancos boscosos. Sus orígenes se remontan a 1928, cuando el poeta Yogaku Niwa, nacido en Kuroishi y vinculado a los reconocidos poetas Takuboku Ishikawa y Bokusui Wakayama, construyó una cabaña de montaña para recuperarse de una enfermedad; el lugar se convirtió formalmente en posada termal en 1929. La posada sigue sin electricidad: no hay televisores, refrigeradores ni enchufes eléctricos en las habitaciones, y las instalaciones se iluminan solo con lámparas al caer la noche, de ahí su conocido nombre de 'posada de las lámparas' en todo Japón.

Lamp no Yado Aoni Onsen sits deep in the Aoni Gorge, surrounded by forested ravines. It traces its origins to 1928, when Kuroishi-born poet Yogaku Niwa — who had ties to well-known poets Takuboku Ishikawa and Bokusui Wakayama — built a mountain cabin to recover from illness; the site became a formal hot spring inn in 1929. The inn remains without electricity: there are no televisions, refrigerators, or electrical outlets in the guest rooms, and the premises are lit only by lamps after dark, giving it its 'lamp inn' name known throughout Japan.

ランプの宿青荷温泉は、森に囲まれた渓谷、青荷渓谷の奥深くに位置しています。その起源は1928年、黒石出身の詩人・丹羽陽岳(石川啄木や若山牧水と親交があった)が病気療養のために山小屋を建てたことに遡り、1929年に正式な温泉宿となりました。宿には今も電気がなく、客室にはテレビや冷蔵庫、コンセントもありません。日が暮れると館内はランプの灯りだけで照らされ、これが全国的に知られる「ランプの宿」の名の由来となっています。
