The facility maintains both a natural mineral soaking pool heated by the geothermal spring to around 40°C and a large outdoor swimming pool. The temperate Central Coast climate and the sheltered valley location make year-round outdoor soaking pleasant at Avila, and the proximity to Pismo Beach and San Luis Obispo adds recreational options nearby.
