Shikaribetsu Kotan

Shikaribetsu Kotan es un asentamiento temporal de iglús, un bar de hielo y una capilla de hielo que se construye cada invierno (aproximadamente de finales de enero a mediados de marzo) sobre la superficie congelada del lago Shikaribetsu, situado a 804 metros sobre el nivel del mar y el lago más alto y de congelación más prolongada de Hokkaido. Su elemento más conocido es un baño termal al aire libre instalado directamente sobre el hielo, donde los bañistas se sumergen en agua caliente rodeados de nieve y aire bajo cero. La tradición de construir el pueblo de hielo se remonta a 1980. El evento es organizado por la ciudad de Shikaoi y el Centro de la Naturaleza del Lago Shikaribetsu.

Shikaribetsu Kotan is a temporary settlement of igloos, an ice bar, and an ice chapel constructed every winter (roughly late January to mid-March) on the frozen surface of Lake Shikaribetsu, which sits at 804 meters above sea level and is the highest and longest-freezing lake in Hokkaido. Its best-known feature is an open-air hot spring bath set directly into the ice, where bathers soak in heated water while surrounded by snow and sub-zero air. The tradition of building the ice village dates back to 1980. The event is organized around Shikaoi Town and the Lake Shikaribetsu Nature Center.

然別湖コタンは、標高804メートルに位置し北海道で最も結氷期間の長い然別湖の湖面上に、毎冬(おおよそ1月下旬から3月中旬)建設される氷のイグルーやアイスバー、氷の教会からなる期間限定の集落です。最大の見どころは氷上に直接設けられた露天風呂で、雪と氷点下の空気に囲まれながら温かい湯に浸かることができます。氷の村を作る伝統は1980年に始まりました。イベントは鹿追町と然別湖ネイチャーセンターが運営しています。
