Termas de Copahue

Las Termas de Copahue se ubican a 2.100 metros de altitud, a 19 km de Caviahue, al pie del volcán activo Copahue —cuyo nombre significa 'lugar de azufre' en mapuche—. Las aguas varían ampliamente en temperatura (29°C-70°C) y acidez (pH 2 a 7) según la vertiente, y se clasifican como sulfatadas, sulfuradas, ferruginosas, carbogaseosas, bicarbonatadas cálcicas y sódicas, con bicarbonato, potasio, litio, calcio, magnesio y sílice. El acceso con fines medicinales data de 1870, cuando un médico argentino obtuvo permiso de líderes mapuches para llevar pacientes a los manantiales; el complejo ofrece hoy peloterapia, baños de vapor, piletas de inmersión y tanques de Hubbard para afecciones reumáticas, dermatológicas, respiratorias y digestivas, con capacidad para unos 2.000 tratamientos diarios. Funciona de forma estacional, de diciembre a abril, por las intensas nevadas invernales.

Waters here range widely in temperature (29°C-70°C) and acidity (pH 2-7) across different springs, and are classified as sulfated, sulfurous, ferruginous, carbogaseous, calcium-and-sodium bicarbonated, containing bicarbonate, potassium, lithium, calcium, magnesium and silica. Access for medicinal use dates to 1870, when an Argentine physician obtained permission from Mapuche leaders to bring patients to the springs; the resort now offers mud therapy, vapor baths, immersion pools and Hubbard tanks for rheumatic, dermatological, respiratory and digestive conditions, with capacity for around 2,000 treatments a day. It operates seasonally, December through April, due to heavy winter snowfall.

テルマス・デ・コパウエは標高2,100メートル、カビアウエから19kmの活火山コパウエの麓に位置する——その名はマプチェ語で「硫黄の場所」を意味する。ここの湯は源泉によって温度(29℃~70℃)と酸性度(pH2~7)が大きく異なり、硫酸塩泉・硫黄泉・含鉄泉・炭酸泉・カルシウム・ナトリウム重炭酸泉に分類され、重炭酸塩、カリウム、リチウム、カルシウム、マグネシウム、シリカを含む。医療目的での利用は1870年、アルゼンチン人医師がマプチェの指導者から患者をこの泉に連れて行く許可を得たことに始まる。現在の施設は泥療法、蒸気浴、浸浴プール、ハバードタンクを提供し、リウマチ・皮膚科・呼吸器・消化器系の疾患に対応、1日約2,000件の施術能力を持つ。冬季の豪雪のため12月から4月までの季節営業となる。
