Termas de Vizela se encuentra en la ciudad de Vizela, en la región del Miño, cuyas aguas son conocidas, según se informa, desde época romana. El municipio destaca por tener unos 33 manantiales termales distintos, con temperaturas de entre 15°C y 63°C, siendo el más conocido la 'Bica Quente' en la plaza principal de la ciudad.

Termas de Vizela sits in the town of Vizela in the Minho region, whose waters have reportedly been known since Roman times. The first modern bathing facilities were built in 1785, and by the 18th century the town had earned the nickname 'Rainha das Termas de Portugal' (Queen of Portugal's Thermal Spas). The spring water is mineralized (365 mg/L), containing fluorides, sulfates, chlorides, silicates, hydrogen sulfide and sodium, emerging at roughly 46.4°C with a pH of 9.1. The municipality is noted for having some 33 distinct thermal springs, ranging from 15°C to 63°C, the best known being the 'Bica Quente' in the town's main square.
