Termas Geométricas

Termas Geométricas es uno de los desarrollos de aguas termales más cuidadosamente concebidos de Sudamérica. Ubicado en un cañón volcánico escarpado cerca de Coñaripe, en Los Ríos, canaliza agua termal natural en 60 piscinas individuales a lo largo de 400 metros. Las características pasarelas de madera roja fueron diseñadas por el arquitecto Germán del Sol para dialogar con las paredes de basalto y el bosque nativo, no para imponerse. El volcán Villarrica nevado suele verse sobre el borde del cañón.

Termas Geométricas is one of the most architecturally considered hot spring developments in South America. Located in a steep volcanic canyon near Coñaripe in Chile's Los Ríos Region, the complex channels naturally occurring thermal water — which emerges from the Andes at temperatures exceeding 70°C — into 60 individual soaking pools arranged along 400 metres of canyon floor and walls. The distinctive red-painted wooden walkways and changing cabins that interconnect the pools were designed by architect Germán del Sol to exist in dialogue with the basalt canyon walls and the native coihue and lingue forest above, rather than imposing a visual language foreign to the landscape. The water is volcanic in origin, heated by the geothermal system associated with the Villarrica-Quetrupillán volcanic complex, and carries dissolved silica, sulphate, and bicarbonate. The canyon traps heat and amplifies the sound of the river below, creating an immersive sensory environment. Snow-capped Villarrica volcano is often visible above the canyon rim.

Termas Geométricasはチリ・Coñaripe, Los Ríos Regionに位置する硫黄泉。源泉温度は38℃、標高750mの地に湧出する。泉水は中性に近い（pH約6.5）の泉質、硫酸塩泉・炭酸水素塩泉を豊富に含む、総溶解固形物840 mg/Lが特徴だ。2008年創業。リラクゼーション・皮膚・循環器系など多様な温浴療法が行われる。施設ではプール浸浴・渓谷入浴・露天鉱泉プールなどが体験できる。
