Alba Thermal Springs & Spa sits on Browns Road in Fingal, on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, in the same underground thermal aquifer system that put the peninsula on the map for geothermal bathing. A dedicated bore reaches 550 metres underground to draw water at 43.6°C, classified as a sodium chloride-bicarbonate spring and naturally carrying sulphur, calcium, magnesium and potassium — mineral content strong enough that the operators warn it can tarnish jewellery over repeated visits. That water feeds a series of botanical, herb-infused pools kept between 37°C and 43°C, set among native bushland roughly 90 minutes from Melbourne and 15 minutes from Sorrento. Opened in 2022 as a newer, design-forward counterpart to the peninsula's original bore-fed bathing precinct nearby, Alba represents the same regional geothermal resource developed as a distinct, independently operated facility.
