Carson Hot Springs Resort & Spa

Carson Hot Springs Resort & Spa (also known simply as Carson Hot Springs) sits above the Wind River near the Columbia River Gorge in Carson, Washington. According to the resort's own history, the spring was discovered in 1876 by Isadore St. Martin, bubbling up through the rocks of a riverbed; construction of a bathhouse began in 1897 and the historic hotel, now known as the Hotel St. Martin, was completed in 1901, with cabins added in 1923. The property took its current name, Carson Hot Springs, in the early 1970s. Guests soak in unchlorinated natural mineral spring water in a rustic historic bathhouse, with natural water temperatures reported in the 110-126°F (43-52°C) range, alongside a chlorinated therapy pool held at 104°F (40°C) and a nearby cold mineral spring around 60°F (15.6°C).
