Terma Bania

Terma Bania, en Białka Tatrzańska, al pie de los montes Tatra, aprovecha el acuífero geotérmico de Podhale mediante un pozo de 2.500 metros de profundidad, donde el agua alcanza aproximadamente 78°C antes de enfriarse para las piscinas interiores y exteriores del complejo, de unos 1.380 m², estabilizándose entre 34 y 38°C para los bañistas. El desarrollo comenzó en 2006 con un diseño pensado para integrar el complejo —incluido su tejado totalmente cubierto de vegetación— en el paisaje circundante de Podhale, y las instalaciones (originalmente llamadas Terma Białka) abrieron al público el 16 de junio de 2011. El operador enumera sulfuros, sílice, potasio, calcio, magnesio y hierro entre los minerales que transporta el agua, cuya calidad es verificada anualmente por la Inspección Sanitaria Estatal de Zakopane.

Terma Bania, in Białka Tatrzańska at the foot of the Tatra Mountains, taps the Podhale geothermal aquifer through a borehole reaching 2,500 metres, where the water measures approximately 78°C before being cooled for the resort's roughly 1,380 m² of indoor and outdoor pools, settling around 34–38°C for bathers. Development began in 2006 under a design intended to blend the complex — including its fully vegetated, grass-covered roof — into the surrounding Podhale landscape, and the facility (originally called Terma Białka) opened to the public on 16 June 2011. The operator lists sulphides, silica, potassium, calcium, magnesium and iron among the minerals carried by the water, and the facility's water quality is verified annually by Poland's State Sanitary Inspectorate in Zakopane.
