Termas del Río

Termas del Río is a natural geothermal river in the Copán region of western Honduras, where volcanic springs warm a river tributary to around 38°C, creating a natural bathing corridor through the tropical forest. The proximity to the Copán Ruinas archaeological zone — one of the most important Maya sites in Central America — allows visitors to combine ancient cultural heritage with natural thermal bathing. The river setting, surrounded by tropical hardwoods and cloud forest, is characteristically beautiful.
