Troy Spring State Park

Troy Spring State Park protects a first-magnitude karst spring on the Suwannee River in Lafayette County, Florida. The spring discharges over 50 million litres of crystal-clear water daily at 22°C from a large limestone basin. The remains of the Madison, a Confederate supply steamer that was scuttled during the Civil War in 1863, rest on the spring bottom and are visible through the clear water, adding a remarkable historical dimension to the spring diving and snorkeling experience.
