Bogn Engiadina Scuol

El manantial Luzius por sí solo se considera la fuente de sal de Glauber más mineralizada de Europa, con una mineralización total de unos 17 gramos por litro. Las fuentes públicas del pueblo todavía dispensan agua potable normal y agua mineral naturalmente gasificada una junto a la otra, una tradición ya valorada por los romanos por sus beneficios digestivos. El complejo moderno de Bogn Engiadina ofrece piscinas interiores y exteriores de entre 16°C y 37°C aproximadamente, una piscina salina y un baño romano-irlandés.

Bogn Engiadina Scuol sits in the Lower Engadine valley, where more than 25 distinct natural mineral springs emerge through the Unterengadiner Fenster — a geological window where erosion has cut through otherwise impermeable gneiss and granite, allowing gases from deep within the earth to rise and mix with groundwater. The springs range from alkaline Glauber-salt (sodium sulphate) and bitter-salt sources to iron-rich acidic waters, several naturally carbonated. The Luzius spring alone is considered Europe's most heavily mineralized Glauber-salt source, with total mineralization around 17 grams per liter. Public fountains around the village still dispense both plain drinking water and naturally sparkling mineral water side by side, a tradition already valued by the Romans for its digestive benefits. The modern Bogn Engiadina complex offers indoor and outdoor pools between roughly 16°C and 37°C, a saline pool, and a Roman-Irish bath.
