Cassiopeia Therme Badenweiler

Cassiopeia Therme es el balneario termal moderno de Badenweiler, que evolucionó a partir del antiguo edificio Markgrafenbad construido entre 1874 y 1875. Los manantiales cálidos de Badenweiler se originan en la formación geológica del graben del valle del Alto Rin y fueron desarrollados por los romanos hacia el año 75 d.C. como Aquae Villae, con baños dedicados a la diosa Diana Abnoba (se conservan restos arqueológicos, incluida una piedra votiva). El actual Cassiopeia Therme ofrece piscinas como un baño abovedado (32°C), un baño de mármol (34°C) y una gruta (36°C), en más de 1.000 m² de superficie de agua termal.

Cassiopeia Therme is the modern thermal bathing facility in Badenweiler, evolved from the former Markgrafenbad building constructed in 1874–1875. Badenweiler's warm springs originate from the geological formation of the Upper Rhine Valley graben and were developed by the Romans around 75 CE as Aquae Villae, with baths dedicated to the goddess Diana Abnoba (archaeological remains, including a dedication stone, survive). Today's Cassiopeia Therme offers pools including a domed bath (32°C), marble bath (34°C), and grotto (36°C), across more than 1,000 m² of thermal water surface.
