Ponta da Ferraria

Ponta da Ferraria es uno de los manantiales naturales más espectaculares de Europa: un punto de roca volcánica negra donde el agua geotérmica a hasta 58°C hierve directamente en el Atlántico. A medida que la marea sube y baja, las proporciones de agua marina y agua termal cambian, creando pozas de temperatura regulada naturalmente en las formaciones rocosas de la costa. Ponta da Ferraria is one of the most visually spectacular natural hot springs in Europe — a point of black volcanic rock where geothermal water at up to 58°C boils directly into the Atlantic. As the tide rises and falls, the proportions of sea water and thermal water shift, creating naturally temperature-regulated pools in the rock formations along the shoreline. The site is accessible on foot down a steep lava path and is entirely natural, with no constructed facilities. The contrast of the dark volcanic landscape and the turquoise ocean surrounding the steam-softened pools is extraordinary.

Ponta da Ferrariaはポルトガル・São Miguel, Azoresに位置する地熱温泉・硫黄泉。源泉温度は58℃の豊かな温泉水が湧き出る。泉水は中性に近い（pH約6.5）の泉質、塩化物泉・ナトリウム泉を豊富に含む、総溶解固形物900 mg/Lが特徴だ。温浴療法・タラソテラピーなど多様な温浴療法が行われる。施設では入浴などが体験できる。
