Shelokum Hot Springs

Shelokum Hot Springs is located on Mitkof Island near Petersburg in Southeast Alaska, accessible by boat to Thomas Bay and a hike through old-growth Sitka spruce forest. A Forest Service-maintained hot spring pool at around 55°C and a rustic cabin provide basic accommodations for overnight stays. The surrounding Thomas Bay area is one of Alaska's most scenic wilderness destinations, with glacier-carved terrain, active glaciers, waterfalls, and abundant wildlife including brown bears, black bears, and Sitka black-tailed deer.
