Terma Bukovina

Bukowina Tatrzańska se encuentra en el cinturón geotérmico de Podhale, al pie norte de los montes Tatra, una de las regiones geotérmicas más productivas de Polonia. Terma Bukovina, inaugurada en diciembre de 2008, nació de la Bukowiński Związek Geotermalny (Asociación Geotérmica de Bukowina), una iniciativa de vecinos locales para desarrollar el recurso termal subterráneo de la zona con fines turísticos. El agua, extraída del profundo acuífero carbonatado del Triásico y Jurásico que subyace a toda la región de Podhale, llega a las piscinas interiores y exteriores del complejo a 30–38°C, descrita por el operador como mineralizada de forma natural tras filtrarse durante miles de años por las capas rocosas de los Tatras. El complejo forma parte del más amplio Bukovina Resort, que combina baños termales con hotel, spa e instalaciones de esquí.

Bukowina Tatrzańska sits in the Podhale geothermal belt at the northern foot of the Tatra Mountains, one of the most productive geothermal regions in Poland. Terma Bukovina, which opened in December 2008, grew out of the Bukowiński Geothermal Society (Bukowiński Związek Geotermalny), an initiative formed by local residents to develop the area's underground thermal resource for tourism. Water drawn from the deep Triassic and Jurassic carbonate aquifer that underlies the whole Podhale region reaches the resort's indoor and outdoor pools at 30–38°C, described by the operator as naturally mineralized after filtering through Tatra rock layers over thousands of years. The complex sits within the larger Bukovina Resort, combining thermal bathing with hotel, spa and ski facilities.
