Indian Hot Springs

Indian Hot Springs in Idaho Springs has served as a natural bathing destination since Indigenous peoples gathered here, and evolved into a formal resort following Euro-American settlement in the Colorado mining era. The resort's signature feature is a series of underground cave baths carved into warm rock — private vaulted chambers where 42°C geothermal water fills personal soaking pools. Above ground, larger communal pools accommodate groups. Its proximity to Denver — under an hour on I-70 — makes it one of Colorado's most-visited thermal facilities.
