Kaitoke Hot Springs is a natural, deliberately undeveloped sulphurous hot spring within Aotea Conservation Park on Great Barrier Island in Auckland's Hauraki Gulf. The pools are dammed at a fork in Kaitoke Creek and surrounded by umbrella fern, reached via a roughly 40-45 minute walk from the Whangaparapara Road trailhead across Kaitoke wetlands and regenerating kānuka forest. The Department of Conservation, which manages the track, warns that stream water can be very hot and advises against submerging your head in the pools.
