Nathan's Hippy Dip Hot Spring

Nathan's Hippy Dip is an informal name for a primitive hot spring near the Animas River south of Durango, Colorado. The spring produces geothermal water at around 40°C that trickles into hand-built soaking pools fashioned from river stones. The site is well-known among Durango locals and outdoor recreationists but sees far less traffic than the commercial springs in the region. Its accessible but slightly off-trail location gives it the feel of a discovery rather than a destination.
