Pipestone Hot Springs

Pipestone Hot Springs flows from the ground at around 48°C in a rural corner of Jefferson County, Montana, between Butte and Bozeman. The water fills outdoor soaking pools set in open countryside where cattle ranches spread across the broad valley. The springs have been known to travelers since the 19th century and remain one of Montana's quieter geothermal destinations, favored by locals and road trippers who know to look for it.
