QC Terme Dolomiti sits in Pozza di Fassa, in Trentino's Val di Fassa, at an elevation of around 1,325 metres, built near the natural Alloch spring — described as the only sulphurous thermal source in Trentino. The spring flows from the sedimentary rock of the Bellerophon formation and was known to the Romans, who gave the locality the name 'Antico Bagno' ('Ancient Bath'). The water has been used for its therapeutic properties since at least the 15th century. The current wellness center, spanning over 4,000 square metres across three floors, opened in late 2016.
The Alloch spring was known to the Romans, reflected in the locality's traditional name 'Antico Bagno' ('Ancient Bath'). The water's therapeutic use is documented from at least the 15th century onward, well before the modern wellness center opened in 2016.
