Thermal Corvinus

Thermal Corvinus ocupa un terreno de 14,7 hectáreas en las afueras de Veľký Meder, cerca de la frontera húngara en el suroeste de Eslovaquia, y recibe visitantes desde su apertura al público en 1974. Dos pozos geotérmicos, separados 327 metros, abastecen el complejo: el Pozo 1 capta agua entre 1.626–1.675 m y 1.720–1.791 m y la entrega a 72°C con una mineralización total de 1.098 mg/l y un pH de 7,46, dominada por sodio (301 mg/l) y bicarbonato (763 mg/l), con flúor y ácido silícico disuelto medibles; el Pozo 2 capta agua entre 1.073–1.438 m a 56°C con un pH de 7,86 y una mineralización ligeramente menor. El agua sódica-bicarbonatada resultante se utiliza para dolencias articulares, de columna y musculares en las diversas piscinas del complejo.

Thermal Corvinus sits on a 14.7-hectare site on the edge of Veľký Meder, near the Hungarian border in southwestern Slovakia, and has drawn visitors since it opened to the public in 1974. Two geothermal wells, 327 meters apart, supply the resort: Well 1 taps zones between 1,626–1,675m and 1,720–1,791m and delivers water at 72°C with total mineralization of 1,098 mg/l and a pH of 7.46, dominated by sodium (301 mg/l) and bicarbonate (763 mg/l) with measurable fluoride and dissolved silicic acid; Well 2 draws from 1,073–1,438m at 56°C with a pH of 7.86 and slightly lower mineralization. The resulting sodium-bicarbonate water is used for joint, spine and muscular ailments across the resort's multiple pools.
