Yuasa Onsen

Yuasa Onsen is centered on a castle-style hotel, Yuasa Castle, in Yuasa town, Arida District, Wakayama Prefecture, known historically as the birthplace of Japanese soy sauce production and for its preserved old merchant streets. The onsen water is described as an alkaline sulfur-type spring valued locally for its skin-softening effect. From the hotel's tower, guests can view the town of Yuasa and the Kii Channel; the facility is a short drive from JR Yuasa Station and does not require day-trip reservations.
