Thermalpark Dunajská Streda

Thermalpark Dunajská Streda se encuentra en Žitný ostrov (Isla del Centeno), la gran llanura fluvial del Danubio en el suroeste de Eslovaquia, y aprovecha un agua geotérmica naturalmente muy mineralizada, bicarbonatada-sódica, bombeada desde un pozo de 1.600 metros de profundidad, que llega a la superficie entre 54°C y 56°C. La tradición balnearia del lugar se remonta a 1930, cuando el operador local del balneario construyó dos piscinas exteriores de temporada, pero su transformación en un verdadero complejo termal se produjo tras el descubrimiento de agua mineral caliente durante perforaciones de exploración petrolera en la zona a principios de la década de 1980. La primera piscina climatizada interior abrió en 1973, y la empresa operadora se constituyó formalmente en 1994; el complejo celebró su 50.º aniversario como instalación termal en 2023.

Thermalpark Dunajská Streda sits on Žitný ostrov (Rye Island), the Danube's large river-island plain in southwestern Slovakia, and draws on a naturally highly mineralized, bicarbonate-sodium geothermal water pumped from a borehole 1,600 meters deep, arriving at the surface between 54°C and 56°C. The site's bathing tradition dates to 1930, when the local spa operator built two seasonal outdoor pools, but its transformation into a true thermal resort followed the discovery of hot mineral water during oil-exploration drilling in the area in the early 1980s. The first indoor heated pool opened in 1973, and the operating company was formally incorporated in 1994; the resort marked its 50th anniversary as a thermal facility in 2023.

サーマルパーク・ドゥナイスカー・ストレダは、スロバキア南西部のドナウ川流域に広がる大きな中州「ジトニー・オストロフ(ライ麦の島)」に位置し、深さ1,600メートルの井戸から汲み上げられる天然の高ミネラル重炭酸ナトリウム泉を利用しており、地表では54℃から56℃で湧出する。この地の入浴文化は1930年、地元の温泉事業者が2つの季節営業の屋外プールを建設したことに始まるが、本格的な温泉リゾートへの転換は、1980年代初頭にこの地域で行われた石油探査掘削中に高温のミネラル水が発見されたことがきっかけとなった。最初の屋内温水プールは1973年に開業し、運営会社は1994年に正式に設立された。同施設は2023年に温泉施設としての50周年を迎えた。
