Grutas de Tolantongo

Grutas de Tolantongo es una maravilla geológica: una serie de manantiales termales que fluyen desde un sistema de cuevas talladas en un cañón de piedra caliza y roca volcánica en las tierras altas semiáridas del estado de Hidalgo. El agua, rica en carbonato cálcico y minerales, ha depositado formaciones de travertino naturales a lo largo de las paredes de la cueva y ha creado una serie de piscinas turquesas conectadas que desbordan en cascadas por la cara del cañón.

Grutas de Tolantongo is a geological wonder — a series of thermal springs that flow from a cave system carved into a limestone and volcanic canyon in the semi-arid highlands of Hidalgo state. The water, rich in calcium carbonate and minerals, has deposited natural travertine formations along the cave walls and created a series of connected turquoise pools that overflow in cascades down the canyon face. The temperature throughout the pools hovers around 38°C. The site includes both a cave interior where water emerges from the mountain and an extensive terraced pool system on the canyon slopes, with views across the Sierra Juárez landscape.

Grutas de Tolantongoはメキシコ・Hidalgoに位置する硫黄泉・重炭酸泉。源泉温度は38℃、標高1100mの地に湧出する。泉水は中性に近い（pH約7.3）の泉質、炭酸水素塩泉・カルシウム泉を豊富に含む、総溶解固形物680 mg/Lが特徴だ。温浴療法・リラクゼーションなど多様な温浴療法が行われる。施設では入浴・洞窟入浴などが体験できる。
