Cascate del Mulino is a series of milky-blue travertine pools and small waterfalls near Saturnia in the Maremma, formed as sulphur-rich thermal water cascades over limestone rock. The water, rich in sulfur, sulfate and bicarbonate compounds, emerges from its source at a constant 37.5°C and reaches the waterfalls at around 35-37°C after flowing downstream through the Gorello stream. Access is free at all times, with no ticket booth or entry gate, though paid parking and a small snack bar are available nearby.
