OOD (which stands for Out Of Doors) is an Estonian design and manufacturing company that created the OOD Mirror House — a modular transparent or mirrored glass structure that can serve as a sauna, studio, or accommodation pod. The mirrored exterior reflects the surrounding landscape so completely that the structure appears to vanish into its environment. OOD's sauna version has been installed in forests, lake shores, mountain meadows, and arctic tundra across Europe and North America, always producing a striking juxtaposition of the elemental — fire, steam, wood — with the futuristic transparency of the structure. Estonia's UNESCO-recognised sauna culture provides the cultural context from which this contemporary design object emerges.

Estonian sauna (saun) culture was inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2014 as one of the most complete and continuously practised traditional bathing cultures in the world. The smoke sauna tradition of southern Estonia is particularly celebrated for its ritual depth, healing practices, and community role.
OOD's mirror sauna represents a specifically Estonian design phenomenon — taking the ancient sauna tradition and expressing it through contemporary architecture visible to an international audience. Individual OOD sauna pods are installed at luxury hotels, private estates, and design showcase properties across Europe and North America. Specific available locations are listed at oodhome.com. AquaFonte lists OOD as a design heritage entry rooted in Estonian sauna culture.
OOD structures are manufactured in Estonia from locally sourced or certified timber and triple-glazed glass panels. The modular design means they can be relocated without foundation construction. The company has committed to carbon-neutral manufacturing by 2025.
