Raksawarin Hot Springs and Public Park

Raksawarin Hot Springs and Public Park es uno de los sitios geotérmicos más conocidos del sur de Tailandia, ubicado en el subdistrito de Khao Niwet, justo al este de la ciudad de Ranong. Tres piscinas naturales —llamadas localmente Bo Pho (Padre), Bo Mae (Madre) y Bo Luk Sao (Hija)— brotan del suelo a una temperatura constante de 65°C, inusualmente libres del olor a azufre típico de las aguas termales volcánicas, y los lugareños las consideran seguras para beber directamente en la fuente. Las zonas públicas de baño enfrían el agua hasta unos 40°C, y el parque circundante incluye un arboreto y senderos sombreados. Se registra que el rey Chulalongkorn (Rama V) visitó las aguas termales en 1890, y el camino de acceso, Chon Ra-u ("agua caliente"), toma su nombre de esa visita real.

Raksawarin Hot Springs and Public Park is one of southern Thailand's best-known geothermal sites, located in Khao Niwet subdistrict just east of Ranong town. Three natural pools — locally named Bo Pho (Father), Bo Mae (Mother) and Bo Luk Sao (Daughter/Child) — emerge from the ground at a consistent 65°C, unusually free of the sulphur smell typical of volcanic hot springs, and are considered safe to drink at the source by locals. Public soaking areas cool the water to around 40°C, and the surrounding park includes an arboretum and shaded walking paths. King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) is recorded visiting the springs in 1890, and the access road, Chon Ra-u ("hot water"), takes its name from that royal visit.

ラクサワリン温泉公園はタイ南部で最もよく知られる地熱地帯の一つで、ラノーン市街のすぐ東、カオニウェート地区に位置する。「ボー・ポー(父)」「ボー・メー(母)」「ボー・ルックサオ(娘)」と地元で呼ばれる3つの天然泉が常時65℃で湧き出し、火山性温泉に特有の硫黄臭がほとんどなく、地元では源泉のまま飲めるとされている。公共の浴場エリアでは湯温が約40℃まで冷まされ、周辺の公園には樹木園や日陰の遊歩道もある。1890年にチュラロンコン大王(ラマ5世)がこの温泉を訪れた記録が残っており、アクセス道路の名称「チョンラウ(温水)」もこの王室訪問に由来する。
