Termas de Longroiva

Termas de Longroiva is located in the parish of Longroiva, Mêda municipality, at the transition between the Beira plateau and the Alto Douro region. The water is classified as sulphurous, bicarbonated and sodium-rich, emerging at around 47ºC with a total mineralization of 381 mg/L; the reported pH varies between sources (8.0–8.9). The facility combines a historic 19th-century neoclassical building, redesigned by architect Luís Rebelo de Andrade, with a modern spa and hotel, and is traditionally used for respiratory and rheumatic conditions.
