Thermalium

Thermalium se encuentra dentro del complejo Lázeňský dům Beethoven, en el centro de Teplice, en un lugar que ha albergado construcciones balnearias desde al menos una base de piedra de 1540, con un pabellón de estilo imperio añadido sobre el propio manantial Pravřídlo en 1838-39. El Pravřídlo ("manantial verdadero") brota a 41°C y está documentado desde 1154, lo que convierte a las aguas de Teplice en una de las fuentes termales de uso continuo más antiguas de Europa Central; el nombre de la ciudad proviene de la palabra checa antigua para agua caliente. El agua bicarbonatada-sulfatada-sódica contiene flúor y trazas de radón, y las piscinas de Thermalium (un baño terapéutico a 35°C, una piscina a 29°C y un circuito Kneipp de agua fría y caliente) funcionan con agua de manantial sin diluir, certificada por el Ministerio de Salud checo. El propio Beethoven tomó las aguas aquí en 1811 y 1812, dando nombre al edificio.

Thermalium sits inside the Lázeňský dům Beethoven complex in central Teplice, on a site that has held bathing structures since at least a 1540 stone foundation, with an Empire-style pavilion added over the Pravřídlo spring itself in 1838-39. The Pravřídlo ("true spring") emerges at 41°C and has been chronicled since 1154, making Teplice's waters among the oldest continuously used thermal springs in Central Europe; the town takes its name from the Old Czech word for warm water. The bicarbonate-sulphate-sodium water carries fluoride and trace radon, and Thermalium's pools (a 35°C healing bath, a 29°C swimming pool, and a hot-cold Kneipp circuit) run on undiluted spring water certified by the Czech Ministry of Health. Beethoven himself took the cure here in 1811 and 1812, giving the building its name.
