Therme București, inaugurado en 2016 en Balotești, justo al norte de la capital, se asienta sobre un importante depósito geotérmico en la región de Ilfov —la misma cuenca que explota la instalación hermana de Therme en Budapest—, donde las temperaturas subterráneas rondarían los 58-84°C. Según las preguntas frecuentes técnicas del propio operador, el agua geotérmica se extrae desde más de 3.100 metros de profundidad y luego se procesa (descalcificación, desulfatación, desoxigenación y ozonización) antes de llegar a las piscinas, que se mantienen a una temperatura confortable de baño de unos 33°C; como exige la normativa rumana de seguridad de piscinas, el agua también se clora una vez en las piscinas. La carga mineral —magnesio, hierro, calcio, manganeso y silicio— procede del propio depósito termal profundo en lugar de añadirse artificialmente, lo que distingue al complejo de un parque acuático recreativo puramente clorado, aunque su escala y toboganes le den ese aspecto.

Therme București, opened in 2016 in Balotești just north of the capital, sits above a significant geothermal reservoir in the Ilfov region — the same basin exploited by Therme's sister facility in Budapest — where underground temperatures reportedly range roughly 58-84°C. According to the operator's own technical FAQ, the geothermal water is extracted from more than 3,100 meters deep and then processed (decalcified, desulfated, deoxygenated and ozonated) before reaching the pools, which are maintained at bathing-comfortable temperatures around 33°C; as required by Romanian pool-safety regulation, the water is also chlorinated once in the pools. The mineral load — magnesium, iron, calcium, manganese and silicon — comes from the deep thermal reservoir itself rather than being artificially added, distinguishing the complex from a purely chlorinated recreational water park even though its scale and slides give it the feel of one.

テルメ・ブカレストは2016年に首都のすぐ北、バロテシュティに開業し、イルフォヴ地方の大規模な地熱貯留層の上に位置している。これはブダペストにある姉妹施設テルメが利用するのと同じ地層で、地下温度は概ね58〜84℃とされる。運営会社自身の技術FAQによれば、地熱水は深さ3,100メートル以上から採取され、脱灰・脱硫・脱酸素・オゾン処理を経てプールに供給され、プールは入浴に適した約33℃に保たれる。ルーマニアのプール安全規則に従い、プール内では塩素処理も行われる。マグネシウム、鉄、カルシウム、マンガン、ケイ素というミネラル分は人工的に添加されたものではなく、深部の温泉貯留層そのものに由来しており、規模やスライダーがあるため単なるレクリエーション用ウォーターパークのように見えても、純粋に塩素処理されただけの施設とは一線を画している。
