Three Sisters Springs is a cluster of three interconnected spring vents within the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, accessible only by water — kayak, paddleboard, or guided tour. It is considered one of the best places in the United States to snorkel with West Indian manatees in their natural habitat during winter months, when hundreds gather in the 22°C spring water. In summer, when manatees disperse, the crystal-clear water and abundant fish life still make it a remarkable snorkel destination. The refuge manages access to protect the springs and their wildlife.
