Hoffell Hot Tubs are man-made tubs fed by a natural geothermal spring discovered on the Hoffell farm in 2000, located about 10 km north of Höfn in southeast Iceland. The site, part of the Glacier World / Hoffell guesthouse property, has four to five tubs of varying temperature and depth beneath the Arnarbæli cliff, with views of the Hoffellsjökull outlet glacier of Vatnajökull. Facilities are simple — towels are not provided — and entry is inexpensive compared with Iceland's commercial spas.
The geothermal spring used to fill the tubs was discovered on the working Hoffell farm in 2000, and the tubs were subsequently built to make use of it, later becoming part of the Glacier World guesthouse operation.
